Hey Virgo!

There’s something magical about zodiac signs. That way in which being born on a certain date, at a certain time, under a certain alignment of the stars can become an intricate part of your being… If you think about it, it’s like we’re celestial, or as my blogger babe Vanessa from Sweet Leigh says “we are stardust.”

I know not everyone is into the astrology. Heck, my hubby rolls his eyes every time his behavior brings on a “you’re such an Aries” statement. On the other hand, I find it fascinating, always have. And being a bonafide Latina I of course grew up watching Walter Mercado. Believe me when I tell you, NO ONE gives a horoscope like Walter. Until today, whenever anyone says “Virgo” I feel highly disappointed if it’s not pronounced in a dramatic tone, accompanied with elaborate hand gestures and my lucky number.

VIRGO…the sixth sign in the zodiac represented by the virgin, the hand maiden– that’s me. Born September 10 at 8:30 am and true to my sign, I’m:

In a nutshell, I’m a kind and loving person that goes bat crazy if things are not in order–or at least in the order I feel they should be in. Chaos and spontaneity are no friends of mine, and while we’re on the topic, I wouldn’t say we’re “perfect,” but we’re pretty dang close.

Besides determining our traits and personality it was interesting to find out that our zodiac signs tend to guide the styles of clothing we’re drawn to. I’ll be honest, I’m all over the place when it comes to fashion, how I’m feeling at the moment dictates what I choose to wear.
I tend to be drawn to prints and colors I find inspiring or happy and I’m always most at home in flowing maxis and skirts, basically anything that feels light and airy. 

The Virgo fashionista values both, fashion and money. She doesn’t look for extra-ordinary styles to stand out from the crowd, instead she picks anything that pleases her mood and complements her overall personality. The Virgo woman loves to shop alone, as she is quite particular on giving painstaking attention to every detailing. (via FashionLady.in) 

Which is probably why I fell head over heals for this eshakti maxi dress. The long flowing skirt and intricate lace neckline in turquoise are the perfect marriage of bohemian and chic for a choosy Virgo like me.

This dress makes me want to be in a grassy meadow making flower crowns and picking wildflowers.

But like any good Virgo knows that inspired feeling only lasts for a short time. Hey! I’m not trying to get dirt on my feet or on my pretty new dress…just keeping it 100.
