Fashionista Spotlight | The Mindy Project

I am currently obsessed with all things Mindy Kaling, including her FOX sitcom THE MINDY PROJECT where she stars as Dr. Mindy Lahiri, a New York Ob/Gyn with a killer fashion sense and a no b.s taking attitude.

The Mindy Project

Besides being witty and extremely adorable (I really feel Mindy is my spirit animal) one of my favorite things about The Mindy Project is it’s body positive vibe. Mindy “is a woman who does not attempt to hide, excuse or explain away her body”, instead she enjoys and embraces it. Her confidence is reflected in how she carries herself, as well as thru the clothes she wears. This curvy fashionista knows how to accessorize and accentuate her curves like it’s nobody’s business.

Mindy’s office style is never dull, she rocks her curves in bold colors and prints- oh, the prints are just awesome!

And when she’s not in the office or in her scrubs Dr. Lahiri does not shy away from her curves. She’s bold whether she’s in jeans or a dress and her style ranges from girly sweet to va va voom.

I have to admit she has a closet I would just love to play dress up in.

Can’t get enough of Mindy’s signature style? Well head on over to one of my favorite Tumblrs “The Mindy Project Style” it’s an extensive list of the outfits and accessories worn on the show, including details on where you can purchase them and they even give you a heads up when an item goes on sale! – one of the reasons it’s on my favorite Tumblrs list.

And I now leave you with 3 important nuggets of Mindy wisdom:

  1. You are stronger than you think- You are a Warrior

  2. Be confident- never forget you are a beautiful woman

  3. And the most important nugget of all…Love Yourself!

Until next time my lovelies,

    1. She is hilarious! 🙂 You are so right and I definitely think having confidence is one of the best accessories a woman can have, Your body type doesn’t determine how you look in what you wear it’s how you carry YOUrself that does the trick.
